BACK TO NORMAL

Christmas and New Year is over and everything's all back to normal. No more long lines at the supermarket counter, bump-to-bump at the malls & super heavy traffic due to the holiday rush. It's 2008 and it's the year of the rat. I read my horoscope for the year and I wish I'll have good luck this year. Me and Gabrielle just got back from our 5-day vacation in Bacolod and it's so bitin and very tiring on my part. I hope to go back home again by February or March. Anyway, it's back to work for me yesterday. So many things to do, so many stuff to finish.

What I like about the New Year is that it only means sale in most of the malls. Yahoo! I heard there will be a sale at Topshop and Zara and I'm not going to miss that. Hehehe. as per my horoscope, this year is a year of saving and not spending. How I wish I can do that. Oh I really wish I can do that.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!!

I'M BACK

The past few days have been very very busy with a lot of stuff to do before Christmas. Last Friday was our team's Christmas Party in Paranaque. It was a fun and exciting time. Then on Saturday, I got my scrapbook stuff that I ordered from Marisa at Tektite Pasid where Nette OF MY LITTLE ATTIC has a clinic. I'm so overjoyed 'coz the long wait is over. Too bad I missed the P-SE XMAS Party @ the Bel-air clubhouse. After Tektite, Jeff & I with Gabrielle went to Robinson's Galleria to do a little shopping. Sunday was spent malling at Glorietta with the whole family.

As of today, it's 17 days to go before our trip home to Bacolod. =)

I wanna go scrapbooking shopping again at Helen of Memory Lane, maybe this weekend. =)

I wanna buy a bag(again!) perhaps a Louis Vuitton or a Kenneth Cole.

It's off to Sabangan again in Batangas for the Holy Week.

Gabrielle is becoming independent.

Jeff and I are celebrating our 3rd year anniversary on December 22.

A FLAIR FOR FASHION

I grew up wearing beautiful clothes which were passed from one generation to another. I got to experience the Benetton, Esprit, Giordano, etc fad. I think it was only in college that I really got myself into living the life which is branded from head to toe. I admit that I love branded stuff and how I wish I have more more funds to satisfy my cravings. I'm especially addicted to shoes and bags but looking back I realized that I should have collected jewelries since their value never depreciates and as time passes by it's considered a heirloom that I can give to my daughter. I love anything nice whether branded or not. I love my LV, Gucci, Prada, Kenneth Cole, Chanel, ine West, Tod's, YSL, Coach, Anne Klein, etc. How I wish I can have Hermes, Balenciaga, Bottega Venetta, Dior, etc to add to my list.

Anyway, I still consider myself contented 'coz I get to taste this kind of luxury. I believe that this are just material things that can be attained. These are just wants which are not important. One's needs should come first. In my case, my family's needs most especially of my daughter comes first before anything else. They're more important than a Birkin or Kelly bag. =)

THIS AND THAT

Christmas is just around the corner and I'm not yet done with my Xmas shopping. I really love Christmas - the time that everyone can be together and bond. But it's also the time that I miss the people that I haven't seen for a long time and my bestfriend Pol is one of those people. Anyway, I'll be seeing my family in Bacolod on December 28 as I will be spending the New Year there with Gabrielle. Yup it's just me and Gabrielle 'coz Jeff is not coming with us sincethe plane ticket is expensive. I'm kinda sad about his decision but it's a practical one.

I'm still thinking what I going to give to myself this Christmas. I'm torn between a lot of choices like a wristwatch, camera, bag or jewelry. Hmmmm. Can I just have all? For Jeff, I want to buy him Oakley slippers but since he's a comic collector, he would rather want something to add to his collection. Grrr. For Gabrielle, I would like to buy her the Elmo toy that we saw at Rustan's but she already has so many toys and so maybe it's clothes for her. I need to get my mother-in-law a nice gift soon.

No work on Friday as it's Thankgiving Day in the States. I'm going to accompany my friend Sherly to pick up some scrapbook stuff from Helen of Memory Lane. I hope I will not end up buying for myself. Wink!

RAINY THURSDAY

What a rainy day it is today. Rainy days just make me wanna stay in bed and sleep and relax but I have to get up to get to work. No excuses to be absent just because it's raining. Jeff drove me to work early as the car is coding today and he has to be home at 7 AM to avoid being caught by Makati police. Today is such a lazy day with the gloomy weather and all.

Tomorrow I'm going on half-day as I have an appointment with my ob-gyne for breast exam and to get the result of my pap smear. It's really important that I go to the doctor so that I won't be paranoid anymore. The past few days I've been worried about my left breast. Last month, I went to the ob-gyne and she felt something in my left breast and advised me to go back after 10 fays. It's past the 10 days and so I'm going back tomorrow. She told me there was nothing to worry about but I am worried. I hope and pray that everything will be alright. I'm kinda scared but my faith is strong that I will be ok. Please help me Lord.

Tomorrow is also the start of the Rockwell Urban Bazaar at the Rockwell Tent. It's going to run till Sunday and the entrance fee is only 100 pesos. A lot of good finds will be available and it's a great way to start your Xmas shopping. If everything's ok with my check-up tomorrow, I'm dropping by the bazaar to pick-up my 2008 Belle De Jour planner and to shop a little as well. A lot of bazaars are coming up but I'm looking forward to the World Bazaar at World Trade Center on December. It's the biggest bazaar ever with I think 5000 participants. Wow!
